The survival guide will help guide you through the back-end interface of the KayakGearReviews.org site as well as what else is available for community use.

Signing Up

Sign up here. Once you have signed up you will receive an email containing your username and a computer generated password. Login using the link in the right sidebar. Once you have logged in, scroll down to “Users”. In the sub-menu click on “Your Profile”. From there it is possible to change your password.

Kayaker Profile

In order to set up your personal paddler profile, hover over the “My Account” link at the top left of the page, in the sub-menu click on “Profile”. This will bring you to your social page. From here you can fill in the profile that other paddlers in the community can see and learn more about you. You can join groups, make friends and send messages to other paddlers.

Kayaking Forums

The forums are available for discussing problems, gear, and reviews, as well as places to kayak, looking for a paddling partner, or just to get more info on a good paddling spot. For now you will have to log in separately into the forums but it will use the same user name and password as the KayakGearReviews.org site.

Kayaking Mailing List

Much of the editing and all test calls will take place on the mailing list. It is important to join the group in order to remain aware of policy updates, as well as testing opportunities. This list is also required for anyone writing reviews. Please request membership to the mailing list at this address: http://groups.google.com/group/kayakgearreviews.
